A SAP Test Analyst (SuccessFactors) is required for our client based in Manchester for an initial 3 month contract. Mainly remote, however site visits will be required during various phases of the project, dependent on project needs.
Our client is delivering a significant business transformation programme, implementing SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud and SAP SuccessFactors to replace legacy HR, Finance, Procurement, and Payroll systems.
Role Overview
You will be responsible for preparing, executing, and documenting test cases across SAP SuccessFactors modules and supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with business users. You will work closely with the SAP implementation partner, internal stakeholders, and HR subject matter experts to ensure that the solution meets the specific requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and execute test cases for SAP SuccessFactors modules (Employee Central, Recruitment, Learning, Performance, Compensation, Payroll interfaces).
- Tailor standard SAP test scripts to reflect specific HR policies.
- Support the UAT phase by coaching and assisting business users.
- Conduct end-to-end process testing involving integrations with Finance/Payroll and external systems.
- Perform regression, functional, and interface testing.
- Raise, manage, and retest defects using the agreed defect management process.
- Assist in preparing test data reflective of public sector structures (pay scales, grade structures, working patterns).
- Maintain clear and auditable test evidence to support statutory compliance and audit requirements.
- Work collaboratively with the Test Manager, business SMEs, and partner test leads.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Experience testing SAP SuccessFactors in public sector, or similar highly regulated environments.
- Deep understanding of HR and payroll processes in a local government context.
- Experience preparing and executing test cases and scripts.
- Familiarity with public sector data structures (pay grades, contract types, pensions, statutory leave, and absence schemes).
- Hands-on experience managing defects and maintaining test documentation.
- Ability to communicate clearly with non-technical stakeholders and business users.
Desirable Skills
- Testing experience for SAP SuccessFactors integrations with S/4HANA Public Cloud or other payroll/finance systems.
- Familiarity with SAP Cloud ALM, SAP Solution Manager, or equivalent test management tools.
- ISTQB or equivalent testing qualification.
