Southend Council are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Experienced Occupational Therapist to join a well-structured and dynamic team. The client offers a full-time contract with an opportunity to work from home, a fair and manageable caseload and further training in your portfolio.
Main Duties for the Occupational Therapist include:
- Undertake Occupational Therapy assessments
- Be responsible for prioritising your workload, using supervision proactively to effectively manage your time.
- Be an exemplar for high quality Occupational Therapy assessments, applying key theories, and adhering to the ethos and principles of associated adult legislation, theories and guidance.
- Always promote anti-discriminatory practice, Occupational Therapy values and ethics, and demonstrate a commitment to positive risk assessment and evidence-based decision making.
To Be Successful:
- Previous experience working as an Occupational Therapist in the community.
- MUST BE A CAR OWNER/DRIVER
- Experienced in Adult Social Care
- Robust understanding of the Care Act 2014 and how this applies to your assessment, intervention and outcomes.
- Understanding of Safeguarding within the Care Act and the Mental Capacity Act 2005
- Manual handling experience.
- HCPC Registration.
- Enhanced DBS/CRB (we can obtain for you).
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- Occupational Therapist Qualification.
