Flexible People Ltd are recruiting a Transport Team Leader on behalf of a key client based at the Marsh Leys site. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced logistics operation and play a vital role in leading and supporting the transport team.
Key Responsibilities:- Support the transport management team in delivering daily work schedules and achieving operational KPIs.
- Assist in ensuring compliance with safe working practices and site policies.
- Provide leadership to the transport team, including drivers and support staff, across both home delivery and trunking operations.
- Coordinate shifts to ensure smooth running of operations and effective handovers between shifts.
- Support administrative tasks including planning, system updates, and reporting.
- Liaise with internal teams to resolve issues and support continuous improvement efforts.
- Experience working within a busy transport operation is essential.
- Previous team leader or transport admin experience is desirable.
- Strong understanding of Working Time Directive (WTD) and tachograph regulations is an advantage.
- Competent in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and confident using transport software systems (e.g. Tachomaster, Microlise).
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work rotational shifts and adapt to the demands of a dynamic logistics environment.
