What you will do:
- Lead and develop a team of business partner accountants.
- Be the voice of finance in the room - challenging, guiding, and supporting decisions that affect the bottom line.
- Run budgets, forecasts and planning cycles and keep people honest when actuals land.
- Own monthly management reporting not just the numbers, but the story behind them.
- Work with the Finance Director to tighten reporting, improve processes, and push better insights into the business.
What you’ll look like:
- You’re qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) and have been around long enough to know what good looks like.
- You’ve spent time business partnering with non-finance people and you know how to add value without flooding them with spreadsheets.
- You’ve probably worked in a mid-sized or complex organisation where commercial decisions weren’t always black and white and you’re used to asking the right questions.
- You’ve managed, coached or mentored others. You get a kick out of helping people grow.
- You’ve been in rooms where investment decisions were being made, and you were confident enough to speak up, even if the answer wasn’t what they wanted to hear.
- You’re commercially curious. You want to understand how things make money, not just how they’re reported.
