The Company: We're working with a UK based leading 3PL logistics distribution and supply chain organisation in Milton Keynes who are actively looking for a skilled WMS Systems and Optimisation Manager to bridge the gap between operational warehousing teams and technical delivery - ensuring systems run efficiently and meet business needs. This role is a hybrid position with the core DC's based in and around the Midlands (Northampton & Milton Keynes) areas.
What you will be responsible for:
- Establish strong relationships and partner with key stakeholders across multiple UK sites to understand the demand and challenges of the logistics distribution and supply chain industry and business in general.
- Do a needs analysis on current WMS processes and establish a strong system strategy to ensure all elements are fit for purpose.
- Conception and management of projects relating to system capability and data processing ensuring the objectives are in-line with business strategy.
- Management and implementation of various systems including WMS, TMS and OMS systems, ensuring seamless data flow and optimal utilisation.
- Focus on automation, AI and other approaches to make sure the function is forwards thinking and innovative.
- Use your commercial mindset, tailored design and solution focussed approach to ensure long term scalability is top of the agenda.
- Be the point of contact for all queries, challenges and use feedback to update and implement process improvements including delivery of technical training.
What do we need from you?
The successful candidate for the WMS Systems and Optimisation Manager opportunity will have the following skills and experiences:
- 5+ years in a similar role ideally working with systems such as Blue Yonder (JDA), Red Prairie and Manhattan from both a utilisation and implementation point of view.
- Comfortable with data analytics, data manipulation and reporting, including (ideally) experience with Power BI and/or Azure.
- Experience within the logistics distribution and supply chain world from either a 3PL or in-house (Retail, Manufacturing etc) perspective.
- Be flexible on travelling across the Midlands region when required to meet business needs.
