Part of the Dunstall Holdings Groups, Rea Valley Tractors (RVT) was established over 30 years ago and is a leading regional agricultural machinery dealer. We supply an extensive range of agricultural machinery throughout Shropshire, Staffordshire, Derbyshire, mid and North Wales, Cheshire and Lancashire and also sell high-quality used equipment across the UK and abroad. We have seven depots in Newport (Shropshire), Shrewsbury, Sudbury, Welshpool, Middlewich, Ormskirk and Denbigh.
Hours: Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm with a 1 hour lunch break
- Up to 27 days holiday (plus bank holidays) depending on length of service.

About the Role
Our Service Manager reports to the Branch Manager. They are at the forefront of our customers' aftersales experience which is driven by exceptional leadership of the service and workshop teams. This is a challenging but rewarding role for the right person. The workload and demands are varied. There is never a dull day whether supporting a customer with their service needs, planning workload, coaching team members or conducting reviews; the position will be diverse and exciting. You are responsible for the smooth operation of the whole department, including performance, resourcing levels and quality.
Responsibilities
On a day-to-day basis you will (this list is not exhaustive):
- Ensure high levels of team engagement with all departments.
- Support, coach and mentor team members to ensure they have the capability and confidence to carry out their tasks to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Utilise careful understanding and empathy through all channels e.g face to face, telephone, email etc to provide excellent customer service to our customers.
- With your service administration colleagues and utilising our electronic tools along with technician skills and expertise effectively manage work planning and allocation.
- With your service administration colleagues utilise our business systems to ensure all service work (including supplier warranty and improvement programmes) both in normal working hours and throughout seasonal peaks is carried out and billed in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Work with the Group Service Manager to engage in resource planning, recruitment, and development to ensure staff levels (including apprentices) and service department facilities and tools meet current and future demands.
- Work with the Branch Manager to maintain exemplary levels of health and safety across the Service Department and workshop which aligns with health and safety law and our company risk assessments and policy.
- Work with the Group Service Manager to actively develop and engage in activities to increase the sales of retail labour and parts.
Candidate Requirements
- Full UK driver's license.
- Relevant working experience within the agricultural or construction machinery sector or a strong passion for the industry.
- Excellent IT skills with the ability to use systems such as MS Excel and online-based systems.
