Mechanical Fitter

Rate: £14.50 per hour (PAYE) or £20 per hour (Umbrella Co or Ltd Co)

Duration: 8-10 weeks

Location: Watford

Excellent new contract available for a Mechanical Fitter position has become available. Have you got extensive experience of precision mechanical assembly / fitting ideally working on special purpose machines?

The Mechanical Fitter role is varied and you will be able work within a small team working on bespoke machinery which is utilised within a number of sectors.

With plenty of hours available, we are looking for people who are available ASAP.

Mechanical Fitter Requirements:

  • Proven experience of working as a Mechanical Fitter within a engineering manufacturing environment
  • Able to read and interpret mechanical drawings
  • Build and run basic tests on machinery as required
  • Have good understanding of mechanical principles and precision mechanisms
  • BTEC or HND qualification (or work-based alternative qualifications / experience)

    • Mechanical Fitter Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the building of production machinery
  • The Mechanical Fitter will be required to read and interpret engineering drawings and build special purpose machinery
  • Electrical knowledge or experience is preferred but not essential
  • Candidates will be required to build sub-assemblies and complete machine builds
