Event Driven Analyst (US Focus) – ideally you will have sell side experience – Urgent Platinum & Partners has been asked by our client who is a leading financial services firm to identify a high-calibre Event Driven Analyst to join their London-based team. This is a rare opportunity to contribute to a top-tier equity markets division that services a global institutional client base, including hedge funds and asset managers. Monitor and evaluate US-focused event-driven situations with hard and soft catalysts, with emphasis on merger arbitrage Track and interpret breaking news, press releases and deal announcements in real-time Produce concise updates and analysis for internal teams and institutional clients Attend corporate events and conferences as needed Undertake fundamental equity valuation and financial modelling Collaborate with internal Long/Short and Index Event teams to share intelligence and trading ideas Participate in ad hoc project work and research assignments as required Minimum of 3 years\’ post-training experience in investment banking or similar analytical role Exposure to event-driven, M&A, or private equity situations is highly desirable Strong Excel skills; Background in financial modelling and valuation analysis This is an outstanding opportunity to work in a high-performance environment where your analysis directly influences trading and investment decisions across a global institutional client base. ~
