The predicted salary is between 40000 - 52000 £ per year.

Location: Kestrel House School, Crouch End, London N8 9EA

Salary: Up to £47,000.00 per annum, dependent on experience (not pro rata)

Hours: 36 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Rota: Monday – Tuesday: 8.15am – 4.15pm, Wednesday: 8.15pm – 4.00pm, Thursday: 8.15am – 3.45pm, Friday: 8.15am – 3.30pm

Contract: Permanent, Term Time only

Start: September 2025

As part of our continued growth, we now have a fantastic opportunity for an SEN Teacher to join our close-knit team at Kestrel House School, part of Options Autism.

About the role:

As a dynamic and motivated qualified teacher, you already have a passion for making a difference in the lives of pupils. In this role, you will have every opportunity to live up to this ambition, responding to the needs of individuals with autism, learning difficulties and complex needs, helping them flourish and thrive.

You will plan and deliver engaging learning on a daily basis, developing exciting and innovative methods that stimulate interest and excitement in the classroom. Working as a Teacher with us is not your average teaching role. At Outcomes First Group you are able to work creatively, making the most of all the extensive resources and expert support we have available.

You will observe, monitor and assess our students, making sure their personal development and wellbeing are as important as the academic curriculum.

You will be a passionate teacher and a great communicator, as comfortable talking to pupils with autism, learning difficulties and complex needs as you are with contributing to the school’s vision and direction. Our schools are unique environments, each one having its own special atmosphere and range of opportunities and resources. Our teachers enjoy becoming part of their school’s ‘family’, exploring the potential of the building and environment and getting to know the brilliant pupils in our care.

You will enjoy building these caring relationships as well as liaising with fellow professionals, whether they are colleagues in the same school or they work in the pupils’ previous educational establishments.

About Us:

Kestrel House School is a Special Educational Needs (SEN) School. We help educate and support pupils who have complex needs and specialise in the communication and learning challenges associated with Autism. We want each pupil at Kestrel House School to achieve their own ambitions and to live fulfilling and productive lives. We want you to encourage everyone to achieve their potential and dream big, despite any challenges you or they may face. This can be achieved by assisting and supporting the class teachers with the agreed learning plans, whilst also being responsible for safeguarding the pupils. This will include making sure they are healthy, safe and as comfortable as possible and assisting with the physical, emotional, educational and personal care needs for each individual.

The site is in London, Haringey Borough within Crouch End area, quite close to central London. The location has the advantage of easy access to public transport, having the over ground station located 5 to 10 min walk away from the school and 2 bus stops right outside of the school front gates.

For over 16 years Options Autism have provided care and education to pupils and adults with autism, complex needs and learning difficulties. As part of Outcomes First Group, we are leading our sector in setting and delivering new approaches that provide measurable outcomes for those in our care.
