They’re looking for a Principal Mechanical Engineer (Chief) to join their team – a technical leadership role reporting directly into the Engineering Director . Involvement in complex, varied engineering projects : cranes, bespoke lifting systems, moving structures, etc. – Work across high-integrity environments like nuclear decommissioning, defence & aerospace – Hybrid working, flexible hours, excellent benefits & a collaborative culture Chartered Mechanical or Structural Engineer (or capability to achieve this status) – Strong background in design, analysis, manufacture and installation of large mechanical systems (lifting equipment, cranes, novel handling equipment) – Confident leading on calculations, risk and governance
