Our client is seeking a proactive Deputy Head of Finance for a one-year interim role. You’ll lead payroll, support financial reporting, manage cash flow, and supervise a small finance team.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee monthly payroll and liaise with external providers.
- Draft management accounts (P&L, balance sheet).
- Maintain cash flow forecasts and assist with year-end accounts.
- Line-manage Finance Officer and Assistant.
- Drive improvements in systems and controls.
- Strong literacy/numeracy; degree desirable.
- Qualified or part-qualified (ACMA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent).
- Payroll qualification (desirable).
- Hands-on payroll experience in complex environments.
- Knowledge of Cascade/IRIS and Sage Intacct.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Collaboration with HR and multi-site teams.
- Staff/volunteer management experience.
- Strong leadership and communication.
