We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Data Architect with deep domain expertise in insurance, particularly within the London Market and specialty insurance sectors. This role is pivotal in designing and implementing scalable, secure, and high-performance data architectures, including medallion architecture, across cloud platforms such as AWS, Databricks, and Snowflake.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement enterprise-grade data architectures, with a focus on medallion architecture (bronze, silver, gold layers).
- Lead the development of data pipelines, data lakes, and data warehouses using AWS, Databricks, and Snowflake.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, data engineers, and analysts to translate business requirements into scalable data solutions.
- Ensure data governance, security, and compliance across all data platforms.
- Provide architectural guidance for integrating Salesforce, CRM systems, and Guidewire suite (PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ClaimCenter).
- Support data needs for underwriting, claims, and policy administration processes.
- Drive best practices in data modeling, metadata management, and data quality assurance.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 8+ years of experience in data architecture, with at least 3 years in the insurance industry.
- Strong understanding of London Market and specialty insurance operations and data flows.
- Proven experience with AWS (S3, Glue, Redshift, Lambda, etc.), Databricks, and Snowflake.
- Expertise in building and optimizing medallion architecture.
- Solid knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance frameworks.
- Experience with ETL/ELT tools, data modeling, and data integration strategies.
- Familiarity with Salesforce and CRM platforms.
- Understanding of underwriting and claims processes.
- Experience with Guidewire products is a strong plus.
