Smithers is Europeβs leading independent plastics and rubber specialist organisation, providing research, technology and information services for polymer related industries. We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated Project Manager to join our Materials Testing team. You will be responsible for developing and leading value-adding testing work programmes to meet the sales and revenue requirements of the materials testing business, whilst ensuring client requirements are met.
The successful candidate:
- Will have experience in business development activities and have the ability to identify and win high value opportunities by building and maintaining client relationships.
- Will have the ability to write technical reports, worksheets, and proposals for materials testing, which may involve large work programmes with multiple/complex elements.
- Will possess demonstrated experience of ability to recommend approaches to solve problems and/or progress work.
- Have specialist testing knowledge of polymer materials.
- Will have experience in providing technical support and leadership on projects and with colleagues.
- Will have experience in negotiation with clients and potential clients in regards to cost or works.
