KNOWLEDGE:

  • Essential: SVQ level 2 in appropriate subject or significant previous practical experience
  • Experience of supervising staff within a horticultural/street cleansing environment.
  • Full driving licence with experience of operation of powered equipment connected to horticulture and street cleansing.
  • Desirable: Certificates for tractor operation, mini digger operation, stone cutting, chainsaw operation, ride-on and pedestrian machinery.

CLOSING DATE: Sunday 29th June

Location: Stobhill Depot

Contract Status: Permanent

Hours of Work: 36 hours per week

Working Pattern: Monday - Thursday 07:00-15:15, Friday 07:00-12:00

Please note that it is Midlothian Council's policy that successful applicants will be appointed to the first point on the salary scale. Based on 36 hours over 52 weeks per year, the minimum actual salary for this position is £27,106.47 per annum.
