We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Manager - Export with an FMCG Client based in the UK.

About the role:
Core: Sales & Distribution, there is considerable potential to grow our current market share worldwide with both new and existing customer accounts. This growth will come both from geographical expansion and from developing our sales networks in existing markets. This role will be responsible for maximizing our sales revenue through a network of Country distributors as well as developing direct customer accounts with existing and new customers. The position will involve a high degree of travel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handling sales in all the Markets assigned
- Ensuring range selling to the current DB & finding new DB for new markets
- Devising sales strategies and chalking out Execution strategies to improve TOP line
- Driving sales team to source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls, emails & networking
- Ensuring Country entry and Distribution Expansion in Emerging markets
- Formulating Trade Marketing schemes for all countries
- Driving strong Sales processes and Automation in sales across Markets
- Ensuring Penetration in Key accounts (mainstream)
- Closely monitor Credit to Distributors and account Receivables
- Achieving Monthly, Quarterly and Yearly sales/forecast targets and Reporting country wise
- Driving Gross margin and Net margin as per Target and alignment as per Budget
- Ensuring Manpower Productivity and Country Budgets utilization
- Drive International Trade Exhibition outside the country and travel outside the country
- To plan and complete registration of company’s products with Municipality/FDA etc as relevant to the local country
- Ensure compliance of company’s trading policies, payments/banking/LC protocols and if any specific currency processes in tandem with the Finance function
- Adhere to local and externally relevant health and safety laws and policies
- Monitor, record, analyse and report on activities, trends, results, and recommendations relating to export activities
- Keep a dynamic MIS and tight control over distributor stocks, secondary sales, stock replacement to ensure high fill rate at primary stocking points
- Help the relevant teams to prepare and submit relevant administration in a timely and accurate manner, for example: shipping schedules; letters of credit; ECGC documents; credit control mechanisms; licenses; declarations; packing, routing, transport, and safety documentation
- Plan and execute cost reduction in freight, insurance, and forwarding costs
- Ensure 100% adherence to Systems & Processes
