Rate: £30,000 - £40,000 depending on experience
Shift Pattern:
- AM Shift 05:30am - 1:30pm Monday to Friday
- PM Shift 2:00pm - 10:00pm Monday to Thursday (8:00pm finish Friday)
The role: We have an exciting opportunity for a CNC Setter Operator to join a market leading manufacturing business in the Worcestershire area.
Duties:
- Setting & operating 4 & 5 axis machining centres.
- Producing a wide & varied range of highly toleranced parts which are used in the manufacture of CNC machines.
- Understand CNC controls & offer improvement ideas to the role.
- Work within a team of fellow engineers to strict health & safety guidelines & rules.
- Play your part in promoting positive culture amongst staff by engaging in H&S improvements & kaizen initiatives.
Requirements:
- Have an understanding of milling/machining centre machines.
- Have experience of setting & operating automated CNC loaded machine tools.
- Have experience with cutting tools, fixtures & measuring equipment.
- Prior experience working within a team in a busy manufacturing environment.
- Can edit & program from engineering drawings. (desirable)
- Would have served a mechanical engineering apprenticeship. (desirable)
