SF Executive are partnered with an innovative and high-growth events services business, which is looking to appoint a Director of Technical Design. This is a newly created position following sustained growth and is an opportunity for a driven, switched-on, and technically proficient individual to step into the exciting world of creating cutting-edge and imaginative structures for sporting, musical, brand, and public events. The primary focus of the role will be on providing technical solutions centred around the feasibility of new projects (which can vary in scope and scale from client to client, project to project), and will also sit as the strategic lead of the Design/CAD team, to instigate new processes within the department and ensure all work is issued correctly and on time. Naturally, the role will require close working relationships with commercial, operations, and finance. The successful individual will: be from a similar sector such as construction, steel works, substructures, scaffolding or events TDS etc. have a background in/had broad exposure to structural engineering and technical design. be either from an experienced Head of Design level or be looking to progress and step-up from Design Manager (or similar alternative job titles). be able to critically assess the feasibility of projects and be prepared to challenge – not taking everything on face value will be key in this area. be s…
