DOESF Recruitment are recruiting for a Technical Sales Engineer/ Proposals Engineer for our client who are looking to add to their Sales team to help maximise the performance of their customers' food processing equipment. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and technical professional who is looking to grow their career in a commercially focused, technical role.
Role Purpose
Technical and application support to the sales team and to ensure that we always sell the optimal solution for the customer.
Responsibilities:
- Creation and delivery of compliant, professionally produced proposals within defined timeframes.
- Responsible for ensuring proposal documents follow standard formatting and quality standards.
- Preparing and reviewing the commercial aspects of the bid, ensuring all services are included in the final price to the customer.
- Provide technical sales & application support to the Sales team.
- Supporting the sales team on site visits as part of the proposal submission process.
- Follow the defined process regarding producing costings and generating proposals information.
- Promoting best practice for layout and content of all proposal submissions.
- Preparing hand over documentation to project managers when the bids are successful.
What we're looking for:
- Ability to read and produce drawings using either SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD.
- An Engineering (Mechanical/Food/Electrical) background is desirable.
- Previous experience of working as part of an engineering or technical team is advantageous but not necessary.
- Confident using Office 365 tools, especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Customer focused, with a passion for building strong relationships.
- Strong written skills to produce technical specifications and quotations.
- Ability to work under pressure to tight timescales and juggle multiple priorities.
- Solid organisational skills including attention to detail.
- Methodical working approach and comfortable with data & numbers.
- The desire to continually learn and develop.
