Our client requires a Data Migration Lead to be responsible for the Data Migration to support the SAP Success Factors Project. You will work closely with the business and project delivery groups to understand their needs and translate requirements into actions, ensuring compliance with the data governance standards and strategy. You will also be responsible for the Data Migration strategy and supporting testing elements to prove the overall success of the data migration. Additionally, you will be responsible for the extract and transformation of data to populate the target SAP data model.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define the Data Migration Strategy in line with the organisation's overall Migration Strategy.
- Support the creation of the Conceptual, Logical and Physical data models and ensure that there is a defined change control process in place so any changes in requirements/data models can be impact assessed.
- Responsible for the development of code and processes to create the target data structures in Exasol/Databricks working with the Data Services Team.
- Responsible for the Transformation of Source data to the Target model, working with the source to target mapping documents supplied by the Delivery Partner.
- Responsible for the Audit and Reconciliation of the Extract and Transform phases, to validate that all created/migrated data is fit for purpose and meets the system requirements.
- Responsible for the anonymization of data for any target environment below Pre Production to ensure no personal and sensitive data is recognisable.
- Responsible for all data migration cycles including Mock (technical migration), Dress Rehearsal (volume migrations), Cut Over Simulation (to practice final cut over migration) and Cut Over (final live cut over to new system).
- Work with Functional SMEs to resolve data issues and agree on the data standards and population of the data model.
- Work with Functional SMEs to get sign off on production data load to ensure the production data is fit for purpose and meets the system requirements.
Key Experience:
- Previous use of tools such as Exasol and Databricks.
- Experience in previous data migration projects and track record of successful delivery.
- Able to develop SQL code to analyse, transform and structure data.
- Good planning and coordination skills; project management experience would be preferable.
