This Financial Accountant role reports into the Financial Controller. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to move from practice into a hands-on operational finance role. You will support audit and tax compliance, while also gaining experience in management accounting, reporting, and cash flow management. You will work closely with senior finance leaders including the FC and CFO.
Our client is a growing business in the tourism industry. The company has received industry recognition and continues to develop its key brands nationwide. You'll join at an exciting time of positive growth and this is a newly created role to strengthen the finance function.
Description- Lead the group's annual audit process and coordinate with external auditors
- Prepare consolidated statutory accounts and supporting schedules
- Assist with monthly management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations
- Manage cash flow reporting and forecasting
- Maintain statutory company records and prepare quarterly VAT returns
- Support improvements in financial processes, systems, and controls
- Preferably ACA qualified or equivalent
- Strong academic background and attention to detail
- Excellent Excel skills
- Ability to work independently and manage deadlines
- Salary in the region of £50,000 to £55,000
- Hybrid working options, enabling you to combine working from the offices with working from home (the office is very easily commutable via train and car with parking options)
