We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing manufacturer in the Durham area, seeking an experienced Edgebander Operator with strong machine programming skills. About the Role:
You will be responsible for the setup, programming, and operation of edgebanding machinery to produce high-quality finishes on a variety of panel products. This role is ideal for someone with a technical mindset and a keen eye for detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program and operate edgebander machines (e.g. Homag, Biesse, or similar)
- Adjust machine settings based on material type and job specifications
- Read and interpret technical drawings and production schedules
- Monitor output for quality and consistency, making adjustments as needed
- Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting
- Collaborate with the production team to meet deadlines and quality standards
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
