About Us: We are a leading rehabilitation hospital dedicated to providing exceptional care for patients with brain injuries, physical disabilities, and cognitive impairments. Position Overview: We are seeking a qualified psychologist to join our team, either as a consultant (3 days per week) or full-time (5 days per week). The ideal candidate will have experience in neuro rehabilitation and a passion for working with patients facing complex challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and evaluations for patients with brain injuries and cognitive impairments.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices.
  • Provide therapeutic interventions to address cognitive, emotional, and behavioral challenges.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, speech and language therapists, dieticians, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and nursing staff.
  • Supervise and mentor two psychology assistants, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
  • Participate in team meetings and case discussions to ensure coordinated care for patients.
  • Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and stay current with best practices in neuro rehabilitation.

Qualifications:

  • Doctorate in Psychology (PhD or PsyD) from an accredited institution.
  • Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a Practitioner Psychologist.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in neuro rehabilitation or working with brain injury patients.
  • Strong assessment and therapeutic skills, with a focus on evidence-based practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Experience supervising or mentoring junior staff is preferred.
