Streamline Search are recruiting on behalf of our client. Our client has been established for nearly 50 years and is experienced in the Freight and Logistics industry. They are based in Tilbury at the heart of the shipping industry in the Southeast. They handle importations and exportations of all/any cargos by multimodal means - Air, Sea, Road & Rail. They are looking for an Export Coordinator with experience of all modes (or the ability to learn all modes) of transport to enhance their busy team.
Export Coordinator - Responsibilities
- Coordinating all exports.
- Communicating with customers, hauliers and carriers.
- Arranging bookings with lines and carriers.
- Arranging collections making sure to meet vessel/ flight deadlines.
- Completing customs entries.
- Facilitating customs clearance processes, including filing of export documentation, duties, and taxes calculation, and coordination with customs authorities to resolve any issues or delays.
- Working alongside our UK Export team.
- Serving as the primary point of contact for clients, carriers, and other stakeholders regarding shipment status, scheduling, and any issues that may arise. Providing timely updates and proactively addressing concerns to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Negotiating rates with carriers and service providers to optimise transportation costs while maintaining service quality. Monitoring expenses and providing cost analysis reports to management as needed.
- Focusing on Air Freight.
Export Coordinator Requirements:
- Proven successful track record of at least two years working for a small to medium sized freight forwarder.
- Experience completing export documentation, including checking country requirements, and raising Certificates of origin if required.
- Experience in completing customs declarations.
- Experience of CNS and Destin8. Their forwarding software is multi-freight.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good communication skills and friendly personality.
- Competent using Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- Strong and dynamic team player.

- Monday to Friday 0900-1700 hrs
- £30,000-£35,000
- Standard holiday plus bank holidays
