An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Estimator to lead the estimating process and develop and support the department. The successful candidate will ideally have a strong background in civil engineering with multi-sector experience and a track record of commercial awareness. Reporting to the Estimating Manager, main duties will include but are not limited to:
- Management of tender from allocation to award of contract
- Efficiently manage multiple tenders at any one time
- Organise and lead tender meetings
- Communication of tender progress throughout the process
- Explore opportunities for innovation
- Build relationships with clients and ensure additional business opportunities are followed up
- Support Project Managers in the delivery of tender presentations
- Drive commercial awareness throughout business
- Close out post tender negotiations
- Be involved with lessons learned process
- Support in the coaching and development of Estimators/Trainee Estimators
This opportunity would suit a self-starter who would be happy to work in a stand-alone position where there will be potential opportunities to develop their own team as the business grows.
