Our client, a long-established and highly respected high street supplier, is seeking a Ladieswear Designer to join their growing team. Based in central London, this role focuses primarily on ladies leisurewear, with additional involvement in outerwear. The company offers excellent training, a friendly and supportive studio environment, a clear progression path, and operates on a hybrid basis with three days in the office and two days working from home.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop ladies leisurewear ranges, with additional outerwear support
- Create accurate CADs for buyer presentations and internal use
- Prepare detailed tech packs to support sample development
- Maintain up-to-date sample trackers and organise fabric and trim libraries
- Liaise with buying teams to develop strong working relationships
- Communicate effectively with internal merchandising teams in Shanghai
- Conduct regular shop reports and update trend packs seasonally
- Participate in trend research, inspirational shopping trips, and fabric sourcing
- Keep internal systems such as OneDrive organised with current design documentation
Person Specification:
- Previous experience in ladies leisurewear design, with outerwear experience advantageous
- Strong CAD skills, with proficiency in Illustrator and Photoshop essential
- Familiarity with CLO 3D, InDesign, and Excel would be a plus
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
