Academics are currently recruiting for a Geography Teacher to work at an excellent Comprehensive school in the centre of Cardiff. You will be joining a team of creative, supportive and dynamic staff to teach Years 7-11. The school itself was recently included in a list of top 20 Secondary schools in Wales and the Humanities department is already established and has developed an excellent reputation, but now need an additional Teacher to join them.
This is a part time role, due to start in September 2025 (potentially sooner if available) and a strong chance of the role extending into a permanent position. This vacancy would also be an excellent opportunity for both Newly Qualified Teachers (NQT's) as well as more experienced teachers. The school is focused on providing inclusive education for all children and ensuring that every child has access to equal opportunities. In addition to this, they also offer a broad and balanced curriculum in both KS3 and KS4, placing significant importance on individual growth alongside academic achievement.
What you will need to succeed:
- Be a qualified Teacher of Geography and able to deliver up to KS3/KS4
- Be passionate about Geography and have a positive outlook and excellent interpersonal skills
- An aspiring leader of learning and happy to grasp exciting CPD opportunities
- Eligible to work in the UK
- In possession of a clear DBS and registered with the EWC
