I am currently working with a specialist Lloyd's insurer who are looking for a senior syndicate accountant to join their financial accounting team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurate preparation, timely delivery and presentation of the Syndicate related financial results to the Syndicate Finance Manager.
Key responsibilities
- Ensuring the integrity of Syndicate general ledger, including delivery of all Balance Sheet reconciliations and controls
- Review and approve monthly Syndicate balance sheet reconciliations
- Managing the external Syndicate audit working during statutory cycles as required
- Assist in preparing the monthly report, syndicate executive pack, and quarterly syndicate board packs
- Support and review the production of all necessary regulatory returns and internal planning
- Supply data in specified formats to Group Reporting, Risk, and other departments
- Train junior staff members and enable the Team to have the necessary job knowledge and/or professional qualification
Requirements
- Qualified accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA)
- Lloyd's of London reporting experience
- Knowledge of UK GAAP
