Fast growing, UK banking group. Market leading cross border FX and payments firm seeking a VP- Operational Risk Manager based in London.
The VP- Operational Risk Manager will support the Head of Operational Risk in the independent oversight of Operational Risk across the Bank. Responsibilities include:
- Enhancing the Operational Risk Management Framework and its associated components (Risk & Control Self Assessments (RCSA), incidents, operational scenario analysis etc).
- Providing robust oversight and challenge to RCSAs and risk assessments performed as part of new product/initiative development.
- Enhancing and standardising 2LoD owned policies and procedures.
- Ensuring these policies are understood, communicated, embedded, and complied with across the Bank.
- Engaging with 1LoD to ensure policies and procedures adhere to developed standards and guidelines.
- Training and educating the 1LoD to embed the Operational Risk Management Policy within their respective areas.
- Preparing risk committee and board papers, as required, including robust management of known audit and control weaknesses.
Requirements for the VP- Operational Risk Manager include:
- Professional or industry qualification such as IOR, IRM or equivalent.
- Experience of FX, Payments and Derivatives products.
- In-depth knowledge of the UK financial services and regulatory framework.
- Several years of risk management experience at a senior level.
- Exposure to Enterprise Risk Management Frameworks and other risk types such as financial crime, credit, liquidity, conduct etc.
- Extensive experience and knowledge of Operational Risk.
VP level salary £90,000-£100,000 with a bonus and benefits package offering.
