Are you a skilled DevOps Engineer with strategic leadership experience? You could be progressing your career in a hands-on Head of DevOps role at a highly successful FinTech whose award-winning software enables customers to build high-performance web trading apps that deliver real-time information securely and reliably.
As Head of DevOps, you will oversee the Infrastructure and Build Engineering Team, taking ownership of defining and implementing the company's DevOps strategy, including streamlining CI/CD pipelines, automation, observability, and release processes to support reliable and scalable software delivery. There's currently a focus on transforming inefficient CI/CD pipelines using Gitlab as well as making improvements to monitoring, uptime, and incident response via SRE and DevOps principles. You will lead a team of three which you'll help to grow, providing technical leadership and direction.
Location / WFH: There's a hybrid work from home model with 1-2 days in the London, City-based office per week.
About you:
- You are an experienced DevOps Engineer in senior/lead positions within a FinTech environment.
- You have expertise with CI/CD, DevOps tooling, IaC (Terraform), and modern cloud-based architectures.
- You have a strong infrastructure background, familiar with secure, scalable infrastructure and managed services within B2B environments.
- You are a strategic thinker who can deliver both immediate value and long-term transformation.
- You have experience of defining operational KPIs and driving continuous improvement.
- You have strong leadership and stakeholder management skills; you're collaborative and pragmatic, able to push back.
