Are you an experienced Toolmaker? HR Employment Bureau are recruiting for an experienced Toolmaker to work for one of their prestigious clients who specialise in the Assembly and Manufacturing of welded steels and aluminium based in the Walsall area.
Daily duties for the Toolmaker:
- Carry out effective maintenance and repairs so there is not an indirect effect on cost depreciation value of tools.
- Must complete all work within set timescales dictated by production/customer requirements.
- Evaluate repairs to determine whether it can be conducted in Press or whether this must be removed to Toolroom for essential maintenance and repair work.
- Communicate effectively with team, shift leaders, facility maintenance and press operations to ensure all issues are resolved correctly and in a timely manner.
- Estimate the length of time required to complete a job and create a repair plan which can be handed across shifts to ensure a timely and successful repair.
- Must complete all work reports to an accurate and detailed level.
Essential skills for the Toolmaker:
- Press Tool Dismantling and Assembly, Mechanical problem solving, working to high tolerances.
- Experience in Transfer and/or Progression Tooling is desirable.
- Cad/Cam Design is required for reading existing information or modelling for use of XYZ 3 Axis miller and the EDM Wirer.
- Knowledge of ONECNC software would be advantageous.
- Must have completed a 4 year Toolmaking or related Apprenticeship.
- Must possess a ONC/HNC in Mechanical Engineering discipline.
Working hours:
- 08:00 - 17:00 Monday - Thursday
- 08:00 - 13:00 Friday
Salary: 35 - 38k depending on experience.
