Our client has over 40 yearsβ experience within the manufacturing industry and is one of the UKβs largest stockists and processors of sheet steel. They are currently seeking an experienced Warehouse Operative to join their busy team in St Leonards, East Sussex.
The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience within a warehouse, hold a valid Counterbalance forklift licence, be computer literate and able to deliver a high level of customer service.
As a Warehouse Operative you will be undertaking the order fulfilment process, and ensuring goods from deliveries and dispatch are in the correct condition and quantity.
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualities:
- Demonstrable experience within a warehouse role
- Hold a valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence
- Be computer literate
- Ability to deliver a high level of customer service
- Ability to prioritise tasks
- Be able to work well in a team as well as independently
- Awareness of Health and Safety in the workplace
Your duties as Warehouse Operative will include:
- Undertaking the order fulfilment process
- Loading and unloading of vehicles
- Ensuring goods from deliveries and dispatch are in the correct condition and quantity
- Stock movement as well as stock control
- Operating a forklift
- Liaising with internal departments
- Keeping the warehouse clean and tidy
- Adhering to Health and Safety regulations
Salary: Β£12.50 per hour + Overtime and Weekly Output Bonus
Hours: Monday β Friday, 6.30am β 3.30pm, 40 hours per week + Overtime Paid at 1.5x
Location: St Leonards on Sea, East Sussex
