The predicted salary is between 30000 - 42000 £ per year.

About the role:

We operate the UK’s ONLY flexible multi-temp, shared customer delivery logistics network. We buy, warehouse, pick and distribute products to the nation’s best loved food and drink brands every single day and provide the best experience to our customers.

We are currently recruiting a Maintenance Operative to ensure first-class maintenance services are delivered at the 2 Hoddesdon sites, adhering to legislative requirements and meeting agreed KPIs & SLAs across the distribution centre.

You will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring that all plant, systems, infrastructure, and equipment run optimally with minimal downtime
  • Being the first point of contact for all site maintenance issues
  • Diagnosing faults
  • Undertaking planned maintenance
  • Responding to major equipment breakdowns
  • Working with the Facilities Team to manage budgets
  • Ensuring the distribution centre meets legal compliance for maintenance
  • Effectively managing Facilities 3rd party contractors
  • Attending regular meetings to review, plan and prioritise activity

Hours of Work: 40 hours per week Monday to Friday; however, flexibility may be required, dependent on the needs of the business. Weekend working and/or public holidays may be required.

You will need:

  • TEC/City & Guilds or time served apprenticeship in an electrical/mechanical environment or building services
  • Ability to prioritise workload
  • Practical skills
  • Good diagnostic and problem-solving skills
  • Some heavy lifting, ladder work/working at heights and the use of power tools
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Health and Safety knowledge
  • Similar experience in a Logistics environment familiar with multi temperature storage
  • Good understanding of Microsoft software
