ENB have partnered with our housing client who are seeking a full time Housing Officer to join their organisation. With this role, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional housing management services across a range of tenures, ensuring high tenant satisfaction and compliance with regulatory standards. This role involves effective tenancy management, maintenance coordination, addressing tenant concerns, and facilitating tenant involvement.
Key highlight of responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the housing management agent to oversee and manage tenancy agreements.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date tenant records, ensuring data protection compliance.
- Ensure tenancy terms and conditions are met, addressing breaches and providing appropriate solutions.
- Support the appropriate allocation and sign-ups of the properties in accordance with the allocation policy, local lettings plans and relevant section 106 obligations.
- Support the recovery of former tenant debt, which can include tracing, signposting and support and making legal claims where required.
- Work with the housing management agent, tenants and other community organisations to identify and appropriately manage incidences of Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB).
- Maintain the portfolio database, ensuring the accuracy of data. Assist in producing reports, data entry and data quality checks.
- Work closely with the housing management agent to ensure timely delivery of repairs and maintenance services to tenants.
- Monitor the customer satisfaction of repairs and ensure that assets are well-maintained and meet regulatory standards.
- Carry out estate and/or property inspections where required.
- Ensure that all properties meet legal and regulatory requirements related to health and safety, housing standards, and other relevant legislation.
- Support the business in the sale and disposal of properties. Communicating with the residents about the purchase of their homes to offer support and information to enable them to effectively purchase their homes.
Experience required to be successful in this role:
- CIH Level 3
- Experience in a general needs or affordable housing setting
- Experience managing tenancies, including rent arrears, anti-social behaviour, and tenancy breaches
