Hybrid working - office location MK. Up to £54k per annum. ENB are partnered with our housing client who are seeking a Housing Manager to join their organisation on a full time, permanent basis.
As the Housing Manager, your role will be to manage and support the Housing Officers, Housing Allocations Officers, and other housing staff delivering high-quality tenancy and housing services. The current team size is 6 people but team size will grow over the next 12-18 months. The Housing Manager plays a key leadership role, with direct responsibility for overseeing all the day-to-day operations and ensuring the delivery of excellent tenancy management, allocations, estate services and customer care.
Prior experience within a Senior Housing Officer or management role is desirable and knowledge of lease and management agreements will be essential.
Key highlights of experience:
- Oversee the delivery of all aspects of tenancy and estate management including rent arrears, anti-social behaviour, tenancy sustainment and former tenant arrears.
- Ensure all housing management activity complies with the allocations policy, local lettings plans and section 106 agreements.
- Ensure the efficient marketing, assessment, and allocation of homes.
- Monitor voids and relet performance, working to reduce turnaround times and maximise income.
- Ensure residents are informed, involved and engaged through regular communication and participation.
- Support effective complaints handling and resolution in accordance with the Housing Ombudsman Complaint Handling Code.
- Monitor tenant satisfaction and lead initiatives to improve service experience.
- Liaise with managing agents and contractors to ensure high standards of repairs, maintenance and compliance.
- Support estate inspections and ensure follow-up actions are completed.
- Work collaboratively with the Asset Management team to ensure homes meet required standards and compliance obligations.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, housing law, and business policies and procedures.
Experience required:
- CIH Level 3 Certificate in Housing Practice or equivalent.
- Experience working in housing management.
- Understanding of housing allocations policies, S106 and local lettings plans.
