We are looking for a responsible, outgoing Yard Operative in the Horsham area. This role is Monday - Friday with weekend availability required.
Main Responsibilities:
- Greet customers as they visit the branch and show genuine interest in their projects.
- Develop a good understanding of our product offerings to provide helpful advice and support during customer interactions.
- Prepare customer orders and assist with loading and unloading goods from vehicles using appropriate equipment.
- Inspect incoming deliveries, noting any discrepancies or damages, and report issues promptly.
- Manage inventory levels across sales and storage areas, conducting regular stock counts to ensure accuracy.
- Keep the branch environment clean and organized to create a positive first impression for visitors.
- Prioritize safety procedures and promote a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues.
Skills and Experience Needed:
- Driving License is essential.
- Experience in a similar role is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Excellent organizational abilities with the capacity to manage multiple tasks effectively.
