Join a world-class aerospace manufacturer in South Sheffield as a skilled Aerospace Welder (Manual and Automated). We are working in partnership with this innovative and fast-paced engineering business to find a highly capable welder with strong manual skills and experience operating semi-automated welding equipment for circumferential and longitudinal welds. About the role:
- Working as part of a collaborative team to deliver high-quality welded components that meet demanding aerospace standards.
- Performing TIG and MIG welding on aerospace components to precise technical specifications.
- Operating semi-automated circumferential and longitudinal welding machines.
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings and welding symbols with accuracy.
- Inspecting welds to ensure they meet NADCAP, AS9100 and internal quality standards.
- Preparing and aligning metal parts ahead of welding.
- Maintaining welding equipment and ensuring machines operate at peak efficiency.
- Identifying and resolving any issues during the welding process (e.g., material defects or equipment faults).
- Working closely with colleagues to maintain workflow and achieve production targets.
- Keeping detailed records of jobs, materials used, and any issues encountered.
- Staying up to date with new welding technologies and best practices.
About you:
- Proven track record of successful welding experience (MIG and TIG) +5 years.
- Demonstrated ability to meet and work towards production targets.
- Familiarity with semi-automated welding techniques.
