Are you a part-qualified or recently qualified accountant with a passion for analysis and a desire to grow into a Finance Business Partner role? This is a rare opportunity to join a well-established manufacturing business in the Glasgow area, where you’ll gain exposure to both operational and commercial finance in a dynamic, supportive environment. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who is ready to take the next step—developing their analytical skills, building business understanding, and contributing to decision-making across a complex, fast-paced organisation.

This business is a leading UK manufacturer with a global customer base and a strong reputation for innovation, sustainability, and quality. With a proud heritage and a forward-looking mindset, they supply high-performance products to a wide range of sectors including automotive, aviation, and interiors. The company is values-driven, people-focused, and committed to continuous improvement—making it a great place to learn, grow, and make an impact.

As Finance Analyst, you’ll work closely with Finance Business Partners to deliver high-quality analysis, reporting, and insights that support better business decisions. You’ll be part of a collaborative finance team and gain exposure to both operational and commercial areas of the business.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Producing reports, dashboards, and financial models to explain what happened and why.
  • Supporting the analysis of key operational KPIs such as productivity, throughput, and cost per unit.
  • Assisting with commercial analysis including customer profitability, revenue trends, and margin performance.
  • Contributing to forecasting, budgeting, and long-term planning cycles.
  • Supporting month-end processes and preparing balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Continuously improving data accuracy, reporting consistency, and system efficiency.

This role offers broad exposure and the chance to build a strong foundation for future progression.

The Ideal Candidate

This is a development role, so we’re looking for someone with strong fundamentals and a desire to grow. You will have:

  • Part-qualified or recently qualified accountant status (ICAS, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
  • 2+ years of experience in a finance role, ideally with exposure to operational or commercial analysis.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • A proactive, curious mindset and a desire to understand how the business operates.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to explain financial information clearly.
  • A collaborative, can-do attitude and a willingness to learn from mistakes.

It would be great if you also have:

  • Experience with Power BI or other business intelligence tools.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics (training will be provided if not).

On Offer

  • Salary of £35,000 – £45,000 depending on experience.
  • Full study support (exam fees, materials, and time off for exams).
  • Hybrid working (typically 3–4 days in the office).
  • 2pm finish every Friday.
  • Enhanced annual leave and sick pay.
  • Life assurance, wellbeing programme, and employee assistance scheme.
  • Free on-site parking and access to a range of discounts.
  • A clear path to progression into a Finance Business Partner role.
