We are a busy local independent garage looking to recruit a new member of staff to work alongside our existing team. The ideal candidate for this position should have experience with the maintenance and repair of vehicles.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Maintaining, servicing and repairs of all makes of vehicles
- Carry out routine repairs to brakes, suspension, exhaust, clutch, timing belts and tyres
- Carrying out diagnostic and electrical testing on vehicles
- Prepare vehicles for sale
- Diagnose engine and transmission problems
- Communicating with colleagues and customers as when required
Experience and qualifications:
- Qualified to NVQ or City and Guilds level 3 or equivalent
- Have good problem-solving skills in diagnosing mechanical issues
- Experienced in the work place
- Have good customer service skills
- MOT class 4 testing licence and EV training would be advantageous but training can be provided
