We have an exciting opportunity for you to join us as a Senior Insight Manager - Propositions. In this role, you’ll be responsible for overseeing the Consumer Insight and Experience (CIX) team’s insight into Cancer Research UK’s fundraising propositions. Managing one direct report, you’ll ensure that we deliver high-quality insight projects that influence decision making across the department.
What will I be doing?
- Leading on Consumer Insight and Experience activity for our fundraising proposition and product teams; identifying and aligning requests across product and marketing, facilitating prioritisation and managing workload.
- Developing strong relationships with internal stakeholders, working closely with them to understand their insight requirements and ambitions, and providing guidance on the most appropriate insight projects or programmes of work to meet their goals.
- Leading primary and secondary research projects, including commissioning market research agencies, managing project timelines and overseeing costs and data quality checks to ensure projects deliver robust and actionable research findings.
- Keeping pace with new insight approaches and techniques, sharing knowledge with stakeholders and the wider Consumer Insight and Experience team to ensure that we have the most efficient and cost-effective solutions to insight challenges.
- Driving collaboration by partnering closely with colleagues within Data, Insight and Performance, and Insight teams across CRUK to devise the optimal approach to solving insight challenges within your area.
- Line managing one direct report, overseeing their projects to ensure that high standards of quality, accuracy and value for money are achieved.
- As a senior member of the Consumer Insight and Experience team you will be responsible for creating a positive culture which recognises success, develops and drives high performance and rewards results to retain talent within the team and wider function.
What are we looking for?
- Extensive experience of managing market research projects from inception to completion including writing briefs, managing agency procurement, ensuring clear objectives and producing actionable outputs.
- Excellent knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methods and significant experience of deploying appropriate methodologies to drive actionable insight.
- Excellent project management and planning skills with ability to prioritise workload across multiple areas and manage ambiguity.
- Proven experience of agency management.
- Collaborative working style with excellent stakeholder management skills, demonstrating the ability to engage, influence and negotiate at all levels winning support for ideas.
- Experience of partnering with stakeholders to produce strategic insight plans.
- Consumer focused and outward-looking, with a strategic and analytical mindset, good attention to detail and the ability to identify broad themes from data.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate research effectively to colleagues of all levels in both formal and informal environments.
- Strong core market research skills including survey writing & discussion guide development, and relevant experience of data analysis (Excel) and data charting (PowerPoint).
