About the Role: We are recruiting for a well-established and growing business within the fit-out and construction supply sector. This company has been servicing the industry for nearly 50 years and continues to expand its nationwide operations.
As a Logistics Planner, you will play a vital role in supporting the Logistics Coordinator with the daily planning and routing of a fleet of delivery vehicles. You’ll act as a key link between drivers, the sales team, and customers, ensuring that deliveries are made on time, in full, and in the most efficient way possible. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role requiring strong communication and coordination skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Communicating with drivers throughout the day to track progress and address issues
- Liaising with the sales team regarding delivery schedules, updates, and queries
- Booking external transport and pallet network deliveries, and keeping detailed records
- Organising agency or temporary drivers as needed to cover daily deliveries
- Assisting with end-of-day route planning, including checking weights, delivery notes, and any special requirements
