Our client are a leading Builders Merchant providing building supplies to a mixture of contractors, house builders, housing associations, and end users. An exciting opportunity has arisen in a busy branch in North London to join their branch as an Internal Sales person. This role is telesales based and will involve the following:

  • Taking telephone sales enquiries ensuring high levels of customer service are given at all times
  • Provide quotations both over the phone and via emails
  • Manage the sales process from start to finish
  • Liaise with transport to ensure that customers are informed of any changes to their delivery times and dates
  • Build lasting relationships with your customers to ensure repeat business from them
  • Call your customers on a regular basis to update them with any sales and offers on within the branch
  • Call lapsed accounts and non-spending accounts to try and get them spending with the company again
  • Maintain a strong margin to ensure the best possible sales price is attained
  • Cross basket sell by finding out what job the customer has and find out what other products can be provided by the company

This is a Senior Sales position within the branch and as such, only an experienced Builders Merchant professional will be considered for the job. Ideally the candidate will already have experience within the local market place and have a good understanding of who the customers are.
