Zenith People are working with our client who are looking to recruit an experienced Senior Project Engineer on a permanent basis. You will be responsible for the technical package management on dedicated projects and provide technical support and guidance at a project technical leadership level with support of the lead engineer where required.
Provide support to several teams throughout the life cycle of the project, including but not limited to supporting:
- Strategy setting at the start of the project
- Technical risk identification, reviews, communication to PMA and closure
- Non-conformance closure
- Design rule and project concessions
- Approval status
Management and close out of technical topics and work with other leads to ensure balance and support across the wider department. Responsible for development and integration of new technologies, templates, calculations and tools to improve efficiency and quality. On job training and mentorship of engineers at all levels within the PMA. Ensuring a smooth handover of tender and feed projects to contract award. Where appropriate and as directed, take actions to comply with the group expectations to meet the code of expertsβ requirement.
You are meant for this job if:
Essential- Degree or equivalent in an Engineering discipline - preferably Mechanical Engineering, Subsea Engineering.
- Relevant experience within the offshore industry.
- Engineering background or general engineering background with relevant experience of the offshore industry.
- Significant experience problem solving and working in high pace environments.
- Proficient in software such as Orcaflex.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience delivering against challenging schedules in a project management environment is essential.
- Experience leading a team and effective workload management.
- Experience with engineering tools such as MathCAD or equivalent.
- Experience in design tools is not required but beneficial, such as: AutoCAD, Inventor.
- Experience in Finite Element Analysis Tools is not required but beneficial, such as: Ansys, Abaqus, Orcaflex.
- Experience with Lean practices and has a drive for improvements.
- Experience with Design for Safety and high-quality practices.
