Oreca, both a racing team and a company specializing in the construction of competition cars, has achieved numerous successes in endurance racing. As part of its various projects, ORECA Motorsport is looking for a Project Buyer M/F, based in Signes, near the Paul Ricard circuit in the VAR region. Reporting to the Project Purchasing Manager, your main responsibilities will be:
- Prospecting and evaluating suppliers and subcontractors: Research and identify potential suppliers or subcontractors, assess their ability to meet the specific needs of projects, taking into account technical, quality, and timing aspects.
- Managing RFQs: Launch RFQ, analyse suppliers' responses, assess their ability to meet technical requirements, quality standards, as well as the project's deadlines and schedule constraints.
- Negotiating contractual terms: Negotiate the terms and conditions of contracts with suppliers, aiming to optimize service quality, reduce costs, and meet deadlines.
- Monitoring order execution: Ensure order monitoring in collaboration with suppliers (follow-ups on orders, reminders for open orders or via the purchasing service), manage supplier issues in coordination with the procurement team.
- Monitoring the performance of key suppliers: Monitor the performance of strategic suppliers, analyse performance indicators and define action plans to improve their efficiency and reliability.
Qualification & Experience: With a Master's degree (Bac +5 level), you have gained significant experience of at least 5 to 10 years in purchasing, ideally in motorsports, during which you demonstrated strong team spirit. You have abilities with IT tools, particularly Excel and an ERP system. You speak fluent English, facilitating communication with international contacts. Knowledge of Italian language would be an additional asset. You are curious and have excellent communication skills, enabling you to maintain smooth relationships with suppliers and internal teams. You are a rigorous person with strong analytical abilities.
