Handle are currently working with a hugely popular global media brand, who are looking for technically strong Interim Head of Finance. Working closely with the Finance Director, this role leads external reporting and technical accounting for the business, managing a team of one Finance Manager and three Analysts.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead statutory and external reporting across the Group
- Oversee the year-end audit process, acting as the main contact for auditors
- Provide technical accounting guidance and ensure compliance with relevant standards
- Manage and develop a team of finance professionals
- Drive improvements in reporting processes and financial governance
- Partner with Tax, Treasury, Legal, and Corporate Finance to advise on accounting implications of business decisions and complex scenarios
- Deliver ad hoc analysis and support for finance projects and wider business initiatives
- Support hedging and FX risk management reporting, and oversee tax reporting in coordination with the Tax team
Candidate requirements:
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent) with significant post-qualification experience, you offer strong analytical, project management, and organisational skills
- Have a track record of leading consolidation and reporting across complex, multi-entity organisations, with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset
- You're an experienced people leader with a proven ability to develop, mentor, and inspire high-performing teams
- Have worked in another global media brand
- You bring deep expertise in IFRS and technical accounting, with a strong grasp of consolidation principles in a global group structure
