Overview: We are seeking an experienced Cisco Network Engineer to join our team in supporting a Healthcare Organisation. The role involves the development, support, and maintenance of Cisco-based network infrastructure across multiple sites in North Wales.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain Cisco network infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and availability.
  • Provide support and troubleshooting for Cisco management systems, telephony solutions, and other IP network components.
  • Ensure the security of the network through the management of firewalls, VPNs, and access controls.
  • Monitor network performance, addressing issues promptly to minimise downtime.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to implement and refine network solutions that meet organisational requirements.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation, including network diagrams and procedural guidelines.
  • Liaise with vendors and service providers for upgrades and technical support.
  • Travel to various sites across North Wales to provide on-site assistance as required.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Cisco Network Engineer, ideally within a multi-site environment.
  • Proficiency in Cisco management platforms and telephony systems (e.g., Cisco Call Manager).
  • Strong knowledge of IP networking, including routing, switching, and VLAN configuration.
  • Familiarity with network security tools and principles (e.g., Cisco ASA, firewalls, and VPNs).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex network issues.
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration and stakeholder interaction.
  • A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel within North Wales.
