Macildowie Supply Chain has partnered with a manufacturing business based in Long Eaton to recruit a Supply Chain Manager. The key objective is to lead on procuring stock, maintain stock levels, stock forecasting, analysis of actual stock vs forecast and present stock forecasts to stakeholders.

Main Responsibilities

  • Manage planning, procurement, production, inventory control, internal logistics and distribution to customers and third-party storage.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to present stock forecast figures via Excel/PowerBI.
  • Maximise service levels and customer satisfaction, whilst maintaining control of inventory levels.
  • Manage lead times on all procurement requirements, whilst raising procurement material POs.
  • Lead a Supply Chain function, ensuring that stock and procurement KPIs are met and manage according to the budget and operational capacity.
  • Ensure production forecasts and promotional activity are clearly communicated to all relevant departments.
  • Identify any order book movements that would leave the business with obsolete stock.
  • Collaborate with the Manufacturing Managers to ensure any delivery issues are known about at the earliest opportunity.
  • Establish relationships with internal and external customers and suppliers to continually improve the quality of service delivered.
  • Responsible for the effective day-to-day supplier relationship management and operational performance of the supply base.

The Candidate

  • Previous experience operating in a manufacturing setting, working as a Buyer, Senior Demand Planner, Supply Chain Manager, Purchasing Manager or similar.
  • Able to travel to Long Eaton.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to produce and present stock forecasts with Excel and in some cases, PowerBI.
