Contek are working with a company based out of Cambridge who are looking to add to their team of time served engineers. This post is ideal for an experienced CNC Miller who can already program, or a junior engineer looking to take that next step into a Programming role. Previous experience as a CNC Miller Setter/Operator would be essential at minimum.
In this role you can expect to provide services for a variety of industries, including Aviation, Motorsport, Automotive, Medical and the Science field where you will be machining low volume or prototype components keeping your skills sharp and offering a new daily challenge.
Responsibilities:
- Programming a CNC Mill using Heidenhain controls.
- Working to technical drawings and machining in the most efficient way possible.
- Ensure the components produced are of the highest standard possible being a low volume machine shop quality is paramount.
- Provide a team focused approach and work with your colleagues to ensure your jobs are completed on time and in full.
Desired:
- Ideally used Heidenhain controls but we will consider others depending on your ability and previous work sector experience.
- Apprenticeship served or if not a solid engineering foundation.
- Worked in a low volume/prototype environment or similar.
- Capable to pick up new processes and a willingness to provide support across the workshop if needed.
Hours: 07:30 - 16:00. Overtime is available within this position.
