Reporting to the Process Engineer, this role involves wiring tube frames that house X-ray tubes, preparing PCB assemblies, and assisting with the integration of X-ray tubes into tube frames. The technician will also support the tube assembly and test team, ensuring safe and efficient working practices.
Essential Requirements- Experience in wiring electrical components and preparing/fitting wiring looms.
- Previous experience as an electro/mechanical technician (or similar) in a hi-tech environment.
- Familiarity with safe working practices and ensuring compliance.
- Wiring tube frames for X-ray tube housing.
- Mounting PCBs onto support covers.
- Assisting with the fitting of X-ray tubes, PCB assemblies, and wiring.
- Identifying and rectifying wiring faults in tube frames.
- Raising Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) for faulty items.
- Supporting the tube assembly and test team, including fitting lead plates and small mechanical assemblies.
- Maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.
- Accurately recording data.
- Contributing to process improvements and safe working practices.
- Working with ESD control best practices.
- Experience with quality systems.
- Knowledge of COSHH regulations.
- Understanding of 5S and Six Sigma practices.
- Experience in hi-tech manufacturing or research environments.
- Technical qualifications in Engineering or Science (or relevant experience in a technical role).
