As a Senior Category Manager Computer & Gaming Peripherals, you will be responsible for taking charge of our Computing assortment, offering customers the most relevant tech, accessories, and gaming products at unbeatable value. You’ll play a key role in shaping category direction, building strong supplier partnerships, and contributing to the expansion of a fast-growing e-commerce business.
The roles and responsibilities of this position include:
- Build and manage a competitive Computing & Gaming product range, ensuring a strong mix of in-demand products, key brands, and exclusive launches.
- Develop and maintain strong supplier partnerships, securing top-tier products, competitive pricing, and access to the latest tech innovations.
- Create and deliver a comprehensive category strategy, managing a large and evolving SKU base profitably.
- Own the end-to-end buying process—from product selection and pricing to forecasting, promotional planning, and lifecycle management.
- Drive growth by onboarding leading tech and gaming brands, launching promotional campaigns, and identifying new opportunities.
- Monitor key category metrics and sales data to identify gaps and optimise supplier performance.
- Negotiate trading terms and pricing to maximise margin and commercial outcomes.
- Collaborate with global supply chain teams to ensure consistent product availability and operational excellence.
Qualifications required for this position:
- Proven experience in buying or category management in the computing, gaming, or consumer electronics sector, ideally within e-commerce or retail.
- 8-10+ years of experience in a similar category-focused or senior-level buying role.
- A deep passion for the tech and gaming space, with the drive to fully own and develop the category.
- A proactive, hands-on mindset—comfortable making fast, smart decisions in a rapid-growth environment.
- Deep market knowledge and understanding of consumer behaviour, with a proven track record of commercial success.
- A well-established network of supplier relationships in the computing and gaming industry, with the ability to unlock new brand opportunities.
