The predicted salary is between 21600 - 36000 £ per year.

This position is for a driven individual who is enthusiastic, hardworking and possesses the skillset to work in our academy environment. Reporting into our Head of Academy Recruitment, the successful applicant will be responsible for identifying and recruiting players across the player performance pathway. The role will consist of watching local grassroots fixtures as well as completing detailed reports on players to support the identification process for Forest Green Rovers.

Key Job Outcomes

  • Undertake Scouting Assignments as agreed with Head of Academy Recruitment.
  • Liaise with Head of Academy Recruitment to provide updates on scouting outcomes.
  • Complete scout reports on assignments.
  • Attend Scout meetings and CPD Events.
  • Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Scout both grassroots and academy matches.
  • Identify players of a suitable level to potentially join Forest Green Rovers’s Academy system.
  • Build up knowledge of the best players in own local area and present findings to Head of Academy Recruitment.

About You

Knowledge, skills, and experience:

  • FA Talent ID Level 1
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • A ‘people person’ with good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience of working in academy football
  • Strong interpersonal relationships in local grassroots, JPL and academy football
